According to UN’s World Population Prospects: the 2006 Revision, by 2050 the human race will reach an outstanding growth of 9.2 billion !
The increase from 2007 until 2050 – 2.5 billion equals the entire population living on Earth in 1950.
9.200 new people are born each hour and 221.000 every day !
These projections were revised by UN in numerous occasions as the numbers keep rising and the projections keep falling behind. The main stream shows that the population of the most developed countries is expected to remain almost unchanged.
Also, another tendency is for the population to continue to age, as the number of people aged over 60 will triple.
